Fourth Quarter Hiring Forecast
Staffing Projections Looking Up
According to a recent survey conducted by CareerBuilder and USA Today of nearly 3,000 hiring managers and human resource professionals, the following positive news was gathered: 15% of managers expect to hire staff in Q4 vs. 10% who expect to reduce staff in the Midwest. Also, the percentage of managers predicting they will use temporary staff increased from 13% to 15% nationwide. That is great news! Additional data also indicate a slight increase in companies expecting to increase compensation levels (38%) and bring back previously laid off workers (26%).
